Unrulycurls Cut- - A cutting protocol that was founded on the basis of applying diverse techniques to create a tailored approach suitable to individual needs- whether you always wear your hair curly or at times alter your style- this is a bespoke process that reflects the extensive experience of a team that focus exclusively on curls-

To get the most out of your visit we recommend you arrive with your hair dried as near to natural as possible to your usual routine, as in not straightened or with heavy treatment oils but using styling product is fine though, this will allow your stylist to consider your natural texture and see your hair in it’s usual habitat. If you are having a colour process please arrive with clean hair without products in. This is not a prerequisite, just helpful where possible.

The Curl By Curl (Deva Cut) Includes in depth personalised consultation, curl care and product advice, a customised dry cut that focuses on individual curl pattern and multiple textures within your hair type, a deep cleanse and condition followed by a diffuse dry. Be sure to arrive with your curls conditioned, detangled and styled with products as near to your normal routine as possible (no twist-outs, braids, curling or flat irons or any other manipulation). Let your hair hang loosely—accessories like ponytail holders can disrupt your curl pattern.

When preparing prior to your Curl by Curl/Devacut we ask you to decide when you feel your hair looks at its best. What we mean is do you love your curls on wash day or do you prefer the second or third day. We ask our clients to arrive at the salon with their hair on their favourite day after following their normal routine (products are encouraged), so it could possibly mean washing your hair on the morning of the appointment or up to 1 or 2 days prior.

On the day of your appointment you will have a thorough consultation then the hair will firstly be cut dry then gently cleansed and then styled with a diffuser then possibly trimmed gently once again but a majority of the cutting/trimming is done dry upon arrival. We hope this helps towards you understanding the process.

NB- Please be sure to familiarise yourself with the info regarding this process to ensure its right for you; it is not always appropriate, if you wear your hair straightened or use tongs etc. it may not be your go to choice, when booking we can look into this and ascertain the best choice for your needs-

Cancellations- Please do let us know if you need to cancel or rearrange, via text and email, be aware of our 72 hour cancellation policy found below. Arriving 15 minutes or more after your appointment may result in us not being able to serve you as it delays the other clients

- CANCELLATIONS ARE TO BE MADE 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF APPOINTMENT. (20% admin fee on refunding deposits applies)*

72 hours in advance = Partial refund*

Less than 72 hours in advance = 50% charge of service booked

No call no show = 100% charge of service booked

Deposits - Please note that all CBC/ Deva cuts, colour or dual bookings will require a £30 or £40 deposit - this will be deducted from your final bill at completion, however if you cancel within less than 72 hours notice above fees will apply..

When booking appointments at least 2 attempts will be made to retrieve a deposit, if not received the appointment will be cancelled after the second attempt and future appointments will require a non refundable 100% deposit on the day before rebooking.

All junior stylist and Sunday appointments require a non refundable £20 deposit. Rescheduling is allowed with 72 hours notice and deposit can be rolled over.

Refund/Re Do Policy- We always want our clients to feel absolutely happy with their results- We try to ensure this by a thorough consultation that establishes the best communication between you and your stylist- Very occasionally something may need re-adjusting which is the nature of curly hair- We will try our best to resolve this for you asap. If lodging a complaint please get in contact within the first week of your initial appointment at which point we will book you in immediately for an assessment and if needed a redo which in our experience will be minor and only take a short amount of time. When coming for the redo please wash your hair the night before or on the morning of the appointment and leave to dry as naturally as possible, products in the hair are fine.

A refund is an absolute last resort and many considerations must take place between management and staff thus resulting in refunds occurring very rarely as most issues are resolved quite easily both in the case of cutting and colour.

If these steps are not followed or another salon or hairdresser or hair salon is used to remedy the hair before revisiting Unruly Curls for a consultation then any rights to a refund are waivered.

Refunds will never be issued unless these steps are completed.

Catering to the Curly Girl Method process as such is not 100% practical in a working salon environment, by this we mean we use shampoo as a co-wash and we will diffuse your hair at the end of the service but in keeping with the method upon request we will allow you to leave the salon with no heat applied to your hair and will always use “Curly Girl” approved products from our extensive range of cleansers, conditioners and styling products.

These CGM products are used as standard when booking a Curl by Curl/ Deva cut.

Hair Type- Please mention when booking if your hair is type 4C (see chart on the contact page) We want to be as inclusive as we can and not make any client feel they are being penalised for their hair type.

Type 4C hair does in reality require more time- We don't want to increase the price but do ask you to take the necessary preparation steps so we can utilise the time for maximum benefit to you-Please ensure to thoroughly detangle your hair before your appointment and expect to stay in the salon for longer as natural/air drying is required.
